Dr. Emanuelson was inspired by her mother, a small animal, exotic, and wildlife veterinarian who built a family hospital in Walnut Creek. Dr. Emanuelson received her degree from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, and completed an internship at The Zoological Society of London, Whipsnade Park, and London Zoo. After returning from the U.K., Dr. Emanuelson was named Director of Veterinary Services at the Oakland Zoo. A lifetime achievement was building the veterinary program there. We are very excited to have Dr. Emanuelson join BVH in Jan of 2025!
